CARCASES • Melamine faced products should be cleaned using most non-abrasive cleaners. If in doubt we recommend a small unobtrusive area is tested first. • Stubborn marks may be removed using a citrus-based cleaner (available from Price Kitchens) or a toluene based contact adhesive cleaner in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Again we recommend a small unobtrusive area be tested first. • Dry any water spillages immediately. • Position the kettle and other small electrical appliances away from the underside of wall units.
FURNITURE DOORS • For product cleaning use mild soapy water solution, wiping with a damp (not wet) cloth, finally drying with a soft clean cloth. • Do not use wax furniture polish, abrasive or aggressive cleaners on the doors as this may damage the surface. • Dry any water spillages immediately. • Cooking splashes should be wiped up immediately using a damp cloth. • Position the kettle and other small electrical appliances away from the wall units.
LAMINATE WORKTOPS • For product cleaning use a mild soapy water solution, wiping with a damp (not wet) cloth, finally drying with a soft clean cloth. • To protect all joints, do not use kettles or other small electrical appliances in the immediate area or directly over the top of a joint. The constant rapid changes in temperature can cause the joint sealant to breakdown. • Dry any water spillages immediately. • Do not leave bleach lying on the worktop as this may soften the laminate and cause irreparable damage. A quick wipe with bleach to get rid of stains is fine, provided that it is immediately wiped off and the surface dried. • Do not cut or rest hot pans directly onto the worktops.

SINKS & TAPS
Stainless steel Avoid the use of plastic bowls as these cause heavy localised scratching. Do not leave salt, vinegar, citric fruit juices, mustards or pickles on the surface for any length of time and do not use abrasive cleaners. One of the best ways to care for a stainless steel sink is a product called ‘Shiny Sinks’ which is available in most major supermarkets.
Ceramic For day-to-day care use water and a damp cloth. Abrasive cleaners should not be used as they will dull the gloss finish. A dilute solution of bleach can be used to keep a sparkling glazed surface.
Synthetic Sinks Bar Keepers Friend or dishwasher powder can be used; add water to the powder and scrub into a paste with a nylon brush. Do not let the paste dry out.
Taps Taps should be gently cleaned with a rinsed mild soapy cloth only. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the tap.
Wirework Accessories These accessories are designed to receive mixed loads. Load evenly and do not stack. Other items must be maintained in accordance with their own manufacturer’s recommendations. Please contact us if you require further advice. |
