The Great British Bake-Off is once again in full swing and hopefully we’ll see some beautiful creative designs. Last week there was a little fiasco with Iain’s Baked Alaska and while many people believe it was not his fault at the end it was down to the final decision of the judges and unfortunately they said it was his time to go.
However it has not all been about drama and sabotage, with a wide array of talented bakers it seems to be anyone’s game at the moment. With another episode due to air tomorrow, let’s have a look at some of the favourite bakes of the series so far.
Martha’s Key Lime Baked Alaska
An innovative interpretation of Week 4’s Showstopper Challenge, the beautiful meringue roses coupled with the key lime flavour of the baked Alaska looked absolutely scrumptious. More please!
Luis’ Opposites Attract Rolls
With the combination of the two different types of dough combining to make a fantastic swirl in the middle of his rolls, Luis wowed the judges in Week 3.
Jordan’s Monster Attack
Re-enacting the famous scene from Godzilla, Jordan’s biscuit showstopper in Week 2 was a little messy, however the taste of the biscuits really made up for the slightly haphazard presentation.
