Cleaning a Ceramic Hob

Author: PriceK

From time to time we tend to spill things on our countertops, in our fridges, on our hobs. Often with the former two they are cleaned up immediately but more often than not when something spills on the hob it is too hot to handle straight away and then it is often forgotten once the hob has cooled down and the meal has been eaten.

We understand the importance of being house proud and with a beautiful range of kitchen fittings, accessories and appliances you’re sure to find whatever you need with Price Kitchens.

Although it is not a major health hazard straight away, not cleaning your hob regularly can lead to a whole host of problems later on, particularly if you’re a clumsy sort of person who spills things often. There are a number of products you can get for cleaning your hobs and although Mr Muscle is a great hob cleaner there are also a few natural home remedies which can work brilliantly depending on how much effort you are willing to put into the clean.

Baking Soda

Sprinkle a fine layer of baking soda over the hob so that it is thoroughly covered, making sure to cover the greasiest spots on the hob. Then take an old dry cloth and polish the baking powder into the hob in a circular motion so that the baking powder works into the grease and the stains.

Next take a damp cloth and wipe at the hob in the same circular motion. The baking soda should clean off leaving a spotless hob! Return in around twenty minutes to give the hob once last wipe down.
