Cleaning Stainless Steel

Author: PriceK

Stainless steel can sometimes be problematic as it can easily lose its sheen and become dirty if not properly cared for. However, there are a few materials that work wonders on cleaning stainless steel so that it returns to that wonderful sheen and stays that way for longer!

Stainless Steel worktops are incredibly popular in all types of kitchens as well as being popular in contract and restaurant kitchens because of their futuristic, uniform look.

However, this look can be lost if they get dirty or water stained so in order to quickly clean stainless steel, some WD-40 works wonders with a sponge or an old toothbrush for those awkward, hard-to-reach spots.

When it comes to polishing up stainless steel in order to make it look shiny and new, as an alternative to a specialist stainless steel polish you can pour a small amount of baby or olive oil onto a dry cloth.

Then rub it over the surface, working with the grain. Leave the oil to do its magic for a few minutes and then wipe it away with a paper towel. Voila! A beautiful polished surface without having to resort to store bought treatments!
