This weekend is Easter Weekend, so here at Price Kitchens we have a very simple and easy to make Easter recipe for everyone to try; Chocolate egg nests! All you’ll need is;

200g Dark Chocolate
Kellogg’s Cornflakes
3 Tbsp Golden Syrup
75g
Mini Eggs (to decorate)

Simply break the dark chocolate into chunks and melt down either in a pan directly on the hob, or in a bowl over a pan of boiling water. You can use milk chocolate if you prefer, but I find that milk chocolate tends to make the nests too sweet. Add the butter and golden syrup and mix.

Gradually add the cornflakes, mixing gently so that you don’t crush the cornflakes. Because of the mixture, it is actually possible to add quite a lot of cornflakes without the mixture thinning.

Make sure that the cornflakes are well coated, and then spoon a small portion of the mixture into prepared muffin or cupcake cases.

Use a teaspoon or your fingers to push a little hollow in the centre of each ‘nest’. Wait about 5 minutes for the mixture to have cooled a little and then place the eggs in the centre; this way when they are fully cooled, the eggs won’t fall out! Place in the fridge to cool.

And thats all there is to it! Are you considering a brand new, beautifully customised kitchen for Easter? Why not get in contact with Price Kitchens? With a wide range of different kitchens on show, we can find the perfect kitchen to suit you.
