Price Kitchens - Kitchens Storage

Whether you have a small but perfectly formed kitchen in a compact city flat, or a generously proportioned Shaker wood kitchen in a large country home, organisation is always at the heart of the matter. A place for everything and everything in its place, as they say.

Here at Price Kitchens, we know a thing or two about practical kitchen design. We have clever storage solutions for cupboards and cabinets that make the most of every nook and cranny and free up valuable worktop space. When it comes to kitchen cupboards, there’s a wealth of choice of different sizes, shapes and designs so you can max out every inch of space in the room. A neat and organised kitchen is a pleasure to look at and to work in – and will enhance your home life in a myriad of ways.

Modern kitchen design uses a mixture of wall cabinets, base units, full height cupboards and shelving to make the most of the room. But don’t forget that their internal organisation is equally important. Consider the following options:

  • Corner units are perfect for awkwardly shaped corners. Using rotating or swivelling corner carousel units, you can easily store and access bulky cookware and small appliances that don’t need to be on display. Kidney shaped swing units or ‘magic corner’ type storage is another way to double up on the available storage space.
  • The advantage of pullout units is that they are specifically designed for individual uses such as storing bottles, cleaning products, cooking utensils or trays and chopping boards. Particularly in small kitchen spaces where there’s not much room to manoeuvre, pullout units may be a clever solution.
  • Rubbish bins are unsightly, potentially smelly and can take up valuable floor space in your kitchen. Why not opt for integrated waste bins and recycling bins instead? These are typically attached to the inside of a base unit door, sometimes with a pullout mechanism for easier access.
  • Make a feature of your kitchen storage by incorporating natural textures such as attractive wicker baskets. Their natural rustic charm complements farmhouse or classic kitchen designs particularly well. You can use wicker baskets to replace drawers, display them on open shelving or use them liberally for storing anything from fresh fruit & veg to pretty tea towels.
