Healthy Breakfasts to Start the day off

It is no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it helps you to start the day off in a positive light. Whether you prefer to eat breakfast at your desk, on the way to work, or you all sit down at the kitchen counter to eat breakfast as a family, it is a necessity. A breakfast does not have to be a complete fry up to leave you feeling full and satisfied until lunchtime, so let us look at some great, fast and healthy Breakfasts to help you start the day.

Strawberry Shake

Blend a few fresh strawberries with soya milk or natural greek yoghurt. Add a little bit of sweetener in if you feel the yoghurt is too sharp, or try a few extra berries such as blueberries or blackberries to vary the taste.

Banana on Toast

Simple, classic, yet effective! Simply slice up half a banana onto some wholegrain toast and munch away. Bananas naturally aid digestion and are also great at relieving stomach ulcers, whereas whole grains provide a whole number of health benefits.

Open Egg Muffin

The open ended egg muffin has something for everyone, with a slice of bread, delicious bacon and a poached egg. It rings in at around 300 calories – average for a main meal – and it contains most of your main food groups to start the day off.
