Sometimes our eyes are bigger than our stomachs and this can be a real set-back, particularly if we are trying to lose weight or eat a little healthier. Part of the problem is the fact that food is always so readily available and you can keep it for far longer than you used to be able. Fridges and freezers are constantly getting bigger in order to accommodate our growing appetites, but there has to be a place where you can draw the line.
Why not consider perhaps downsizing your fridge? Often we find ourselves looking at an empty fridge, soon after we order out or go on a spending spree down at the supermarket. With a smaller fridge you will only need to pick up the essentials and any perishables for the week’s meals. It may also help you to think about how much you may be eating.
Downsizing your fridge has design benefits as well. Perhaps now you can fit in that breakfast bar you’ve always wanted, or you can even choose to completely renovate your kitchen with the new space opened up. The choice is entirely up to you.
